In this study, the concept of museum library is studied in general terms and quality of Ödemiş Yıldız City Museum and Archive and of the five main elements which form a library -budget, user, personnel, collection and building- are discussed in the view of national and international standards. It was observed that the ÖYKAM library generally fits its purposes, but lacks of quality and that the museum management supports the library to fulfill its deficiencies and to bring reforms to it.Bu çalışmada, genel anlamda müze kütüphanesi kavramı incelenmiş ve bu kapsamda İzmir’deki Ödemiş Yıldız Kent Arşivi ve Müzesi Kütüphanesi (ÖYKAM), kütüphaneyi oluşturan beş unsur, bütçe, kullanıcı, personel, derme ve bina itibariyle ulusal ve uluslararası standartlara göre nitelik açısından değerlendirilmiştir. ÖYKAM kütüphanesinin genel olarak amacına uygun fakat nitelikleri yetersiz bir kütüphane olduğu ve eksikliklerini tamamlamak ve kütüphaneyi iyileştirmek adına müze yönetiminin kütüphaneye destek olduğu gözlemlenmiştir
