O artigo realiza uma discussão sobre o conceito de conflito social desenvolvido por Georg Simmel. Pondera-se as visões do senso comum e a noção conceitual apresentada e detalhada pelo teórico alemão, um dos capítulos de sua obra capital, a socialização. Nesta reflexão apresento uma série de referências empíricas que podem ser observadas neste conceito elaborado, entre outros, por Simmel.
