She died at Exeter Hospital following a car accident on Route108 Wednesday, March 9, 2005.Visiting hours will be held Monday, March 14, from 6-8p.m. at the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 ExeterStreet, Newmarket, N.H.Born May 7, 1973 in Norwalk, Ca. Arambel was thedaughter of John Paul Arambel and Victoria Stella(Telles) Arambel, of Chino, California.She received both her BA in 1995 and her Ph. D. in2002 from the University of California at Riverside.After a two-year post-doctoral fellowship atNorthwestern University she came to the University ofNew Hampshire, in August of 2004, as an assistantprofessor of Psychology.At the University of New Hampshire she did researchon cognitive processing. Her work on memory andlanguage comprehension in conjunction with how thehuman mind functions was widely recognized. Inaddition she was a very talented teacher and advisor toboth undergraduate and graduate students.In addition to her parents she leaves behind her daughter Maileen Liu of Durham; her siblings,Matthew John Arambel of Upland, Ca., Jessica Joyce Arambel of Chino, Ca. and Renee PamelaArambel of Chino, Ca.; her special aunt Pamela Sue Arambel of Durham; and many otherrelatives, friends and colleagues.To sign an online guestbook or for more information please visithttp://www.kentandpelczarfh.com.
