Abstract

This paper discusses on systematization of sociological theories, or problems in frames of reference to systematize sociological knowledge. At present we often systematize sociological theories by referring to system of concepts, which are from action and interaction to structure and change. But because the system of concepts is ambiguously responding to system of objects and/or to perspectives, in particular, methodological standpoints, we are faced with difficult problems, which are our missing important theoretical points in the system of concepts, and restricting possibilities of the systems of objects and perspectives. This paper tries to show clearly the points and possibilities. First, the theoretical points are that concepts must be free from the differentiation of micro and macro-level, and that micro-structure, relations among structures, and macro-action must be set into the system of concepts. Second, the system of objects consists of system of locales, agents, problems, and dimensions. Each agent, individual and collective, acts and interacts to solve problems, and each action and interaction includes dimensions. Third, the perspectives consist of methodological standpoints, central concepts and logical constructions, for example, paradox. Each perspective must compete in analysing the system of objects by using the system of concepts
