Abstract

In Hungary, basic health care includes creches (day nursery) health visitors, primary care physicians, and pharmacies. When in 2000, in the framework of the Strategic Research Programme of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, penetration and availability of basic health care in the country, especially in the village communities was investigated (Bodi 1999a), it was found that there was a significant discrepancy between supplies in towns and villages
