EI parents / mothers and resilient profile of their children schooled 3rd and 4th

Abstract

La presente investigación persigue estudiar la relación entre la Inteligencia Emocional (IE) autopercibida por progenitores y el perfil resiliente de sus hijos escolarizados en institutos de la Región de Murcia. Asimismo, analiza las diferencias en el perfil resiliente adolescente en función del sexo, edad y pautas educativas familiares. Para ello empleamos tres instrumentos: cuestionario de pautas educativas, TMMS-24 y escala de resiliencia RESI-M. Los resultados muestran que no existe relación significativa entre IE de los padres y el perfil resiliente de sus hijos adolescentes. Sin embargo, sí existe correlación entre las pautas educativas familiares y la resiliencia adolescente.This research aims to study the relationship between emotional intelligence (EI) self-perceived by parents and resilience profile of their teens. It also analyzes the possible differences in adolescent resilient profile by gender, age and parental educational guidelines. We have the participation of secondary school students enrolled in schools in Region of Murcia. We used three instruments, an educational guidelines´ questionnaire, the TMMS-24, and the RESI-M which evaluates the resilience. The results show that there isn´t a significant relationship between parents ´self-perceived IE and their teen resilient profile. However, there is a correlation between parental educational guidelines and the adolescent resilience
