Introducción: Se define quemadura como un traumatismo que provoca afectación de la piel y tejidos adyacentes. Objetivos: Clasificar las quemaduras según el agente causal y gravedad de la lesión. Metodología: Revisión de literatura disponible en principales metabuscadores científicos, sin usar ninguna restricción de año ni idioma. Resultados y conclusiones: Se debe de conocer el agente causal y la profundidad de la quemadura, para poder realizar un correcto tratamiento de la misma, ya que cada tipo de quemadura necesita un tipo específico de cuidados.Introduction : Burnout is defined as a trauma that causes skin involvement and adjacent tissues. Objectives: Sort burns as the causative agent and severity of the injury. Methodology : Review of literature available in major scientific metasearch, without using any constraint year or language. Results and conclusions : We must know the causal agent and the depth of the burn, to perform correct treatment of the same, as each type of burn need a specific type of care
