Influence of Inclined Magnetic Field on Peristaltic Transport of Walters, B Fluid in an Inclined Asymmetric Channel with Porous Medium

Abstract

This paper investigates the peristaltic motion of magneto hydrodynamic(MHD) non-Newtonian fluid in an inclined asymmetric channel with porous medium. Constitutive equations obeying the walter,s B fluid model are employed. Mathematical modeling is developed in the presence of a constant inclined magnetic field making an angle with the vertical axis. Assumptions of  long wave length approximation and low  Reynolds number  are used in flow analysis.  Closed form expressions for the stream  function and mechanical  efficient are developed. Pressure rise per wave length and frictional force on the channel walls  have been computed numerically. Effect of Hartman number, Froud number, Reynold number, permeability parameter , viscoelastic parameter and  inclination of magnetic field on the axial velocity. Pumping and trapping are discussed in detail and shown graphically.
