On Mathematical Model of Traffic Control

Abstract

This paper presents the formation of platoons and their velocity-size distribution in freeway traffic using the stochastic approach. This is aimed at reducing traffic congestions, maintaining safety, increasing highway capacity, limiting the speed of a car by the spacing between it and the car directly ahead and above all reducing motor accidents.
