Estantería Abierta como alternativa para un mejor servicio al usuario en la Biblioteca de la Facultad de Administración de Empresas de la ESPOCH. Con la finalidad de mejorar el servicio a los usuarios; consecuentemente como una herramienta primordial se propone también la implementación de un sistema anti hurto que garantizará la protección del material bibliográfico. Los resultados obtenidos una vez realizadas las encuestas a una muestra de la población estudiantil de la FADE, determinaron que la implementación de un sistema de estantería abierta en la Biblioteca de la Facultad de Administración de Empresas de la ESPOCH permitirá una mayor concurrencia de estudiantes y facilitará la obtención de nueva bibliografía al realizar la búsqueda de manera directa, brindando beneficios adicionales para los investigadores. Para la implementación del sistema de estantería abierta se recomienda efectuar una reestructuración de los espacios que dispone la biblioteca y capacitar adecuadamente al personal que labora en la misma.Open shelf as an alternative for better service to the user in the library of the faculty of Business Administration of the ESPOCH. With the purpose of improving the service to the users; consequently as a primordial tool it is also proposed the implementation of an anti-theft system that will guarantee the protection of the bibliographic material. The results obtained after the surveys to a sample of the student population of the FADE, determined that the implementation of an open shelving system in the library of faculty of business administration of the ESPOCH it will allow a greater number of students and will facilitate the obtaining of a new bibliography when conducting the search directly, providing additional benefits for researchers. For the implementation of the open shelving system it is recommended to carry out a restructuring of the spaces available to the library and to adequately train to the staff that work in the library
