The information technology (IT) has become an increasingly important area in organizations. IT is being integrated with other sectors and the company’s business, gaining importance in decision-making and the achievement of business goals, Organizations are investing more in IT seeking competitive differences, but to ensure that these investments are used efficiently has been a challenge for managers of organizational area and the IT area. This paper presents the concepts of Enterprise Architecture and how it can be used as a tool to promote the integration of IT with the business area organizations.A tecnologia da informação (TI) vem se tornando uma área cada vez mais importante nas organizações. A TI está sendo integrada com outros setores e o negócio da empresa, ganhando importância na tomada de decisão e no alcance das metas de negócios. As organizações estão investindo mais em TI buscando diferencias competitivos, mas para garantir que estes investimentos sejam utilizados de forma eficiente visualiza-se a necessidade de uma maior integração entre os gestores da área organizacional e da área de TI.
