Since the beginning of medicine the clinical method is the cornerstone in the diagnosis of different diseases. With the passing of time the diagnostic process has benefited from the scientific-technical development. The specialty of Ophthalmology has been one of the main beneficiaries, especially in the field of images. It is reported the utility of some diagnostic means in some clinical cases. For example, the fundus camera, computerized perimetry and neuroimaging, specifically, axial computed tomography and nuclear magnetic resonance imaging, which are very useful in the accurate diagnosis of patients with clinical neuro- ophthalmological symptoms attended at the Neuro-Ophthalmology Department of the Arnaldo Milian Castro Clinical-Surgical Hospital.Desde los inicios de la Medicina la clínica constituye el pilar fundamental en el diagnóstico de las diferentes enfermedades. Con el decursar de los años el proceso de diagnóstico se ha visto beneficiado por la revolución científico-técnica y la Especialidad de Oftalmología ha sido una de las más beneficiadas, sobre todo en el campo de las imágenes. Se presenta, en algunos casos clínicos, la utilidad de medios diagnósticos como la cámara de fondo de ojo, la perimetría computadorizada y las neuroimágenes, específicamente la tomografía axial computadorizada y la resonancia magnética nuclear, en el diagnóstico certero en pacientes con manifestaciones clínicas neuro-oftalmológicas atendidos en la Consulta de Neuro-oftalmología del Hospital Clínico Quirúrgico “Arnaldo Milián Castro”
