The article discusses the origins of the development of moral values in sports activities. It presents the analysis of theoretical aspects of the concept of moral values. Sporting activities are one of the most significant factors having a positive influence on the emerging value system of adolescents, the formation of their individual character and others. This encourages the search for ways to better develop teenagers’ moral values in sport. This lead to the study of adolescents’ (12–13 years) expression of moral values in Olympic education. The article presents the results of the empirical study carried out in four schools of secondary education in Lithuania, which revealed the expression and change of adolescents’ moral values through Olympic education. The results of the research into the cognitive component of values showed adolescents’ acknowledgement of the importance and the perception of the essence of moral values.
