Abstract
Nakon velikog tehnološkog napretka u protekla dva stoljeća, došlo je do povećane razine svijesti o sve većem štetnom utjecaju čovjeka na prirodu i okoliš. U nastojanju smanjivanja negativnih utjecaja čovjeka na prirodu i okoliš poduzete su različite mjere među kojima su najvažnije proglašavanja zaštićenih područja te aktivna zaštita rijetkih i ugroženih biljnih i životinjskih vrsta. Cilj ovog rada bio je napraviti pregled svih informacija o zaštićenim područjima na Kalniku te sistematski prikupiti i prikazati podatke svih istraživanja flore i faune na području Kalnika. Podaci su preuzeti s Bioportala (Web portala Informacijskog sustava zaštite prirode), iz Crvenih knjiga Republike Hrvatske te dodatne literature autora koji su provodili floristička i faunistička istraživanja na području Kalnika. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su da je Kalnik prepoznat kao područje važno za očuvanje staništa za određene ugrožene biljne i životinjske vrste na nacionalnoj i europskoj razini. Također je ustanovljeno da je područje Kalnika vrlo zanimljivo u pogledu različitosti staništa i vrlo bogato u pogledu biljnog i životinjskog svijeta, međutim, nedostaju sustavna istraživanja flore i faune Kalnika.As a result of the great technological progress in the last two centuries, there has been an increase in awareness about the vast amount of negative human impact on nature and environment. Appropriate measures have been taken in an effort to reduce negative human impact on the environment. The most important ones among them were the declaration of protected areas and active protection of rare and endangered plants and animals. The aim of this thesis was to make an overview of all the information concerning the protected areas of the Kalnik Mountain as well as to systematically accumulate and present all of the research data about the flora and fauna of Kalnik. The data was taken from Bioportal (Web Page of the Information system for nature conservation), from Republic of Croatia Red books and additional literature sources in which flora and fauna of the Kalnik Mt. was described. The results had shown that Kalnik was recognized as an important area, both on a national and a European level, for the preservation of habitats as well as endangered species of flora and fauna. Also, it was concluded that the Kalnik area is very interesting in terms of great variation of habitats and richness in plant and animal species, however, it lacks systematic studies of flora and fauna
