The Flush Toilet: “This Planet is all Ours”.2

Abstract

Mixed media on paper, mounted on canvas This work is one from a series of three that was created for an art exhibition titled Transforming Hate . At a moment of pause a context for unintended consequences caused by contentious human behavior is acknowledged. These consequences are the result of culturally permitted practices, which often begin in childhood. Human relationships with animals, the land/water and with each other are at risk, while a search for a common ground within a shared environmental perspective to try to do better takes place. Seasoned with humor and often worry, visual layering reflects on the urban and rural landscapes where the artist lives in-between. https://jeanalbanogallery.com/artists-z-n/mary-ann-papanek-miller/https://via.library.depaul.edu/libart/1037/thumbnail.jp
