An Analysis of the Emergence of the Separatist Movement in French-Canada

Abstract

This study is an analysis of the emergence of the French-Canadian separatist movement. It is an examination of the causes and consequences of social change that contributed to the conditions of social unrest. The interactional processes (collective processes)are used to explain the development of the movement out of a state of social unrest and discontent. The scope of this study includes an analysis of the events in French-Canada\u27s history that were significant in the emergence of the separatist movement. The important aspects of French-Canadian culture and social structure are examined to provide an understanding of the nature of the existing social conditions
