ALLST ON STUBBS October 16, 1939. l 1 Dear Miss Elliott, I was delighted to receive your letter this morning relative to the joint meeting of the committees of the two bar associations and Carolina Law Librarians in Raleigh, Priday, October 27th at 3:30 PM in the Supreme Court Library. I am intensely interrested in the purpose of this meeting. My experience is very limited, but I lmow the great need of the young lawyers in Durham and elsewhere for adequate library facilities. Of course we have the Duke library but it requires too much time to visit it except at night. I shall be turning the matter over in my mind and will be present. 1 On the following Wednesday, November 1st, I am marrying Miss Hazel ruangum, who is a member of the Duke Law Library Staff. We should be ~honored if you could attend. The wedding is to be held in the Duke Ch_apel at 5 PM. I have discussed the matter with , Judge Spears and he thinks it entirely possible for ~a cooperative library scheme to be worked out in downtown Durham. I can assure you that the Durham Junior Bar Association is very appreciative of the interest of the Carolina Law Librarians Association in our local needs.
