Abstract
Slijedi razmatranje organizacije opskrbnog lanca industrije, preko elemenata plantažne proizvodnje kakaa u nerazvijenim zemljama, prerade sirovine kakaa i proizvodnje konačnog proizvoda čokolade u razvijenim zemljama pa sve do pregleda svjetskog tržišta čokolade danas. Završni dio razmatra utjecaj industrije čokolade na okoliš, te aktualne strategije ekonomski i ekološki održive proizvodnjeThe topic of the paper is the geographical aspect of the chocolate industry. Initially, a historical and geographical overview of the world's cocoa dissemination is presented. Further research addressed topics that were developed through a geographical methodological concept. This paper presents an analysis of the natural-geographical features for cultivation with the passage of time, and the spatial extent of the production regions. The following chapter is an overview of the structure of the chocolate industry supply chain , through the elements of cocoa plantation production in underdeveloped countries and production of the chocolate in developed countries, up to the present world chocolate market. The final section looks at the environmental and economic impact of industry, and the prospects for the sustainable production
