Abstract
The article´s purpose is to analyze the novel Mayombe, written by the angolan writer Pepetela. It investigates the representation of Angola’s liberation war, the construction of a historical perspective through the context in which it was written and the documentary and testimonial character of the novel.Este artigo tem como objetivo realizar uma análise do romance Mayombe, do escritor angolano Pepetela, tendo como preocupação central a representação da guerra,a construção da perspectiva história do contexto em que foi escrito e o cunho documental e testemunhal do romance
