We use a recently developed Sinc-Galerkin method for the solution of non-self-adjoint equations to solve a parameter identification problem arising from the one-dimensional convection-diffusion equation. This method is well suited for unbounded domains and certain singularities in the coefficients, as we illustrate by several examples.
