KETERAMPILAN MEMBUAT KIPAS DARI ANYAMAN BAMBU MELALUI METODE PROYEK BAGI ANAK TUNAGRAHITA RINGAN

Abstract

Abstract There are several difficulties faced by mild-mental-retarded students in a skill class learning on the aspect of making plaited bamboo hand-fan. The project method was applied as a learning strategy in making plaited bamboo hand-fan using 70% success indicator.The research was aimed to (1) describe the students’ activities in a skill class learning on the aspect of making plaited bamboo hand-fan using the project method; (2) describe the increase of learning achievement among the mild-mental-retarded students in grade VII in Junior High Special School of Banyuwangi through the project method. The research method used was a class action research applying Kemnis model with include observation and test collection method.Based on of the research, the result on first cycle was less satisfied; The average value of students’ activities was 59, 3% achieved, and the average value of the students work result was 59.2% achieved. The second cycle result was the average value of students’ activities was 74% achieved, and the average value of the students work result was 80% achieved. It showed the average result of the students’ skill above the defined minimum completeness criteria, which was 70 and above, achieved. The conclusion was the project method increases the students’ learning achievement among the mild-mental-retarded students in grade VII in Junior High Special School of Banyuwangi.Keywords : skills, project metho
