Las Ordenanzas locales son especialmente útiles para la historia ambiental. La explotación y aprovechamiento de bosques y montes, las preocupaciones por la higiene social y la normativa sobre caza y pesca, son analizadas en este artículo. Con este fin se estudian un número significativo de Ordenanzas Municipales publicadas en Extremadura durante el Antiguo Régimen. En todas ellas se aprecia un propósito conservacionista, aunque con un sentido diferente al actual. También a veces se observan contradicciones entre la finalidad utilitaria de estos espacios y recursos y la necesidad de preservar el modelo socioeconómico y cultural vigente.Local Regulations on everyday life are especially useful for environmental research. Explotation and having a profit from forests and hills, care about social hygiene and regulations for hunting and fishing are analyzed in the following. For doing that, a significant number of Local Regulations published in Extremadura during the Ancien Régime are taken. In all of them it is appreciated a conservacionist aim although in a different sense of present meaning. Also sometimes it appears a contradiction among utilitarianism on taking advantage of spaces, resources and means necessary for social, economical and cultural survival with environmental issues
