Abstract

This paper presents irregularities of the Japanese software paradigm that the author recognized when he was engaged in a switching system development project and thus in competiton with some of the main switching system venders in the world. First, the current competence status of Japanese software industries is described and five aspects are summarized. Then, dominant factors of these irregularities are considered and the following reasons are analyzed : cultural back ground, features of the software order forms, and academic achievement appraisal aspect of software activities
