Abstract

The article attempts to answer the question-key topic of this issues of “EBIB Bulletin” - “Why libraries need standardization?” Discussion is focused around issues such as: documentation and library statistics, bibliographic formats, facilities, library costs ..., taking into account the librarian viewpoint, the user and organizer of the library, as well as the ability/inability to collaborate.W artykule dokonano próby odpowiedzi na pytanie–temat niniejszego „Biuletynu EBIB” – „Po co bibliotekom normalizacja?”. Rozważania skupiają się wokół takich zagadnień, jak: dokumen­tacja i statystyka biblioteczna, formaty bibliograficzne, budynki, koszty funkcjonowania bibliotek...., przy uwzględnieniu punktu widzenia bibliotekarza, użytkownika i organizatora bibliotek oraz możliwo­ści/niemożności współpracy
