Günümüz mimarlık ortamında gözlemlenen çoğulcu görünümün kavranabilmesi için, mimarlığın yeniden tanımlanmasına gereksinim vardır. Çalışmanın ana amacı mimarlığı kendi dışındaki bilgi kuramsal alanların yardımı ile tanımlamaktır. Bu tanımda kullanılacak olan metot mimarlık ve felsefe arasında kurulacak olan asimetrik diyalog metodu olacaktır. Sorgulanacak ana kavram, bu alanların paylaştıkları ortak kavram olan gerçeklik kavramı olacaktır. Çalışmada mimarlık bir gerçekliğin yaratılması süreci olarak tanımlanacak ve çoğulcu görünüm bu tanım kabulü ile analiz edilecektir. Çalışmanın sonunda hedeflenen mimarlığın ne olması gerektiğinin tanımlanmasından çok, mimarlığın nasıl tanımlanması ve mimarlığın nasıl bir gerçeklik ürettiği sorusunun yanıtını bulabilmektir.Architecture needs to be redefined to analyse the pluralistic appearance of architectural milieu of today. The selected method for new definition is asymmetrical dialogue between "one" and "other" who does not share common set of rules with "one". The dialogue is between philosophy as other's epistemological area and architecture. This is such an interventive dialogue which determines critical awareness by using other's methodical doubt. Thus, architecture defined by other's methodical doubt leads the usage of broader conceptual approaches. In this study, architecture is defined as process of creating realities questioned on both sides within the dialogue. By this definition, analysis of the pluralist appearance is also realised. Architecture as a creative activity, adds a new reality to the world. In this point of view, architecture is defined as a process of creation of architectural realities as same as in art and literature. Architectural realities are classified as:(i) noumenal realities of the world of ideas, (ii) substrative realities of the world of objectivity, (iii) existential realities of the world of perception, (iv) essential realities of the world of essence. Finally new definition of architecture lets us to analyse today's pluralistic appearance by the realities produced by architecture
