Si pensamos en el origen y evolución del cuento, sus inicios se remontarían al momento en que el ser humano, para protegerse de los peligros que lo acechaban en la naturaleza, sintió el apremio de comunicarse con los otros, de socializar una información relacionada con hechos ocurridos y cuyo conocimiento podía garantizar la sobrevivencia de la especie. Incluso, el cuento, la relación de un hecho, debió hacerse mediante un lenguaje que no debió ser la lengua articulada de ahora sino seguramente el gesto y el ruido, casi que como se da el relato en el niño que comienza a aprender la lengua por imitación y a sentir la necesidad de comunicarse. ABSTRACT If we give a thought of the origin and evolution of the short story, its beginnings can be tracked down over the moment in which the human being, in order to protect himself of the dangers of nature, felt the need to communicate with others, to socialize information related to a fact that had already happened and the knowledge that could guaranteed the survival of the specie. Even the short story, the relationship of a fact, should had been done through a language that, most likely, was not the articulated one of today, but just gestures and noise.
