Walter Hasenclever Collection 1912-1924

Abstract

This collection contains two letters and their typewritten transcriptions: one letter is written to Elsa Asenijeff in 1912, the other is written to Herr Richter in 1924. The 1912 letter written to Elsa Asenijeff reflects a youthful enthusiastic friendship between the two. The 1924 letter is a business correspondence pertaining to an afterword that Hasenclever contributed to a publication of Swedenborg's "Himmel, Hölle, Geisterwelt".ClippingsGerman writer, born 1890 in Aachen, lived in Dresden and Paris. on 1917 he was presented with the Kleist Prize for his adaption of Sophocles' Antigone.
