Missionary histories are inseparable from many histories of colonization, and the archival records of missionary activity are invaluable to understanding Indigenous-Settler histories of British Columbia. Investigating the lives of two missionaries in the British Columbia interior, this paper lays out an approach to missionary histories based in Indigenous research methodologies and settler colonial analysis consistent with contemporary frameworks for decolonizing historical practice.
