DEVELOPMENT OF COMPOSITE COPPER-MAGNESIUM CONDUCTORS

Abstract

There were developed techniques to obtain high-strength Cu-Mg composite wires. Hydrostatic extrusion method was used to obtain the Cu-Mg composite wire with lots of magnesium fibers. Also there were conducted experiments to acquire a composite wire from the mixture of copper and magnesium powders.
