Abstract
Los inventarios de bienes son fuentes estimables
para elaborar investigaciones encaminadas
a concretar las interrelaciones políticas,
económicas y culturales de cualquier sociedad
en un espacio y tiempo determinados. Los
testimonios que aportan, posibilitan un conocimiento
preciso sobre el coleccionismo, íntimamente
ligado a la evolución del gusto y al
desarrollo de tendencias histórico-artísticas a
lo largo de los siglos. Partiendo de estas premisas,
el presente estudio recoge noticias inéditas
sobre la colección de pinturas recopilada
por Melchor Portocarrero Lasso de la Vega,
III conde de la Monclova (1636-1705), en Lima
a comienzos del siglo XVIIIThe goods inventories are considerable sources
which are useful to develop researches related
to political, economic and cultural correlations
of every society in a determined space
and period. The resulted evidences make possible
an accurate acknowledgment about the
collecting, deeply related to the aesthetics’
evolution and to the historical and artistic
trend’s development during the centuries. On
the basis of this premises, this study presents
unpublished information about the collecting
of paintings gathered up by Melchor Portocarrero
Lasso de la Vega, 3rd count of Monclova
(1636-1705), in Lima at the beginning of
the eighteenth centur
