Most of these books are inscribed for this purpose, and in addition to affording present interest, the future value is enhanced by the addition of an inscription. Our files lack biographical material concerning you, and if at some convenient time, you would be willing to write a few paragraphs of this nature and send it to us, we would be very grateful. We enclose a stamped, addressed envelope, for your reply, snd hope that you will be amenable to inscribing the book which we have. Hall, that you would be willing to inscribe our Maine Author Collection copy of THE MAINE SKETCHBOOK. Would you be kind enough to verify this, and send us permission to forward the book to you for this purpose? Our files still lack biographical information concerning you, and if at some time you would send us a brief sketch of this nature, we would be deeply appreciative. The most important facts are of course your birthplace and date, your education, vocation, and any outstanding experiences, businesses and travels; any other information, however, which you may add will but increase the interest and value of this data. We hope it may be possible to receive this material for our files, and also to have the book inscribed. It is a most delightful volume, and we have held it for some time pending the addition of the Inscription, regretting its omission in the collection.
