Abstract
In-situ X-ray diffractometry and dilatometry were applied to evaluate substitution effects in Zr2-xTix(WO4)(PO4)2 on negative thermal expansion behavior. The substitution induced a reduction of all the lattice parameter a, b and c and suppressedthe coefficient of negative thermal expansion (α= - 2.54×10-6 K-1 for x=0 and α= - 1.52×10-6 K-1 for x=0.20). However, the coefficients obtained by the dilatometry were larger than those obtained by X-ray diffractometry, maybe due to preferred orientation of grains in the tested bar
