Architecture and urbanism in Havlíčkův Brod between 1848 and 1948

Abstract

Tato práce se zabývá urbanistickým a architektonickým vývojem zástavby města Havlíčkův Brod od druhé poloviny 19. století do roku 1948. Stěžejní část tvoří katalog staveb vzniklých v tomto období. Práce je zaměřena nejen na veřejnou a obecní výstavbu, ale také na realizaci staveb privátních stavebníků a architekturu veřejného prostoru. Pozornost je věnována i významným stavitelům tvořících v daném období. V práci je zachycen i kulturní vývoj města a regionu.The main topic of this dissertation is development of urban planning and architecture development of city Havlíčkův Brod from the second half of the nineteenth century until 1948. Principal part forms a catalouge of buildings from this period. The study concentrates not only on public and communal buildings, but also on building activity of private investors and the architecture of public space. Attention is also paid to the architects active during this times. Study also describes cultural evolution of the city and the surrounding region.Ústav historických vě
