Trillium reliquum Freeman is an endangered plant restricted to 20 counties in three states that is imperilled by habitat loss and encroachment from the exotic invasive vines, kudzu (Pueraria montana Ohwi) and Japanese honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica Thunb.)
