PEMETAAN TRACK DIVING DAN SNORKLING DI ZONA PERLINDUNGAN BERSAMA BANGSRING DAN PULAU TABUHAN KABUPATEN BANYUWANGI

Abstract

Tourism is one of the leading sectors that contribute to obtaining foreign exchange, hence its development needs to be properly done. East Java with its many small islands and a long coastline, make it suitable for the tourism industry. One of the regencies that have this potential is Banyuwangi Regency, including Tabuhan Island and Bangsring Coast. This research was aimed to map the snorkeling and diving tracks in the Bangsring Coast and Tabuhan Island and to determine the carrying capacity of the area. A direct observation method on waters of Bangsring Coast and Tabuhan Island was applied. The results of this study showed the maps of diving and snorkeling tracks in the Bangsring Coast and Tabuhan Island, as well as carrying capacity of the Bangsring Coastal tourism area and Tabuhan Island. marine tourism area on Tabuhan Island, suitable for diving with an area of 7.2 hectares and snorkeling with an area of 9.354 hectares. Bangsring Coast (common Protection Zone) is suitable for diving with an area of 1.6 hectares and snorkeling with an area of 1.7 hectares. Carrying capacity of the marine tourism area of Tabuhan Island for the diving category is 36 people/day and the snorkeling category is 180 people/day. For the Bangsring Coast the carrying capacity for the diving category is 8 people/day and the snorkeling category is 34 people/day.  Keywords: mapping, Bangsring coastline, Tabuhan islan
