Narrativas como práticas de agentes comunitárias: a fala ‘no’ e ‘sobre’ o trabalho em uma reunião sobre o tratamento da tuberculose

Abstract

The study focuses on narratives which emerge as talk ‘about’ and ‘at’ work and points to the context of the community health workers’ professional practices as well as the Institute Director’s orientations on ‘how to do the job’, during a work meeting on tuberculosis treatment at Vila Rosário Institute. The research approach is qualitative, in the scope of narrative analysis as practice, of interactional and sequential kind, in interface with the interactional frames analysis approach. The analysis of the data, recorded in audio and transcribed according to Conversation Analysis conventions, are segments of a work meeting held at the Institute in 2009. The analysis indicates that the talk ‘about’ and ‘at’ work is activated by the community workers through narratives which represent an indirect way of positioning themselves about their own work during the meeting. The narratives illustrate, exemplify and substantiate the community workers’ conceptions about work in different frames. From the Director’s point of view, there is the perception of the interactional and social site of the meeting as a moment to give directions about the community workers’ work and to establish future plans for the Institute. However, through narratives in action, the community workers negotiate the tension over the interactional and institutional order, evoking a repertoire of actions, attitudes, positioning, procedures, and displaying the way they understand how to position themselves and act on their daily duties along with Vila Rosário residents during the tuberculosis treatment.Key words: narrative analysis, interactional sociolinguistics, community health workers, tuberculosisO estudo focaliza narrativas que emergem como fala ‘sobre’ e ‘no’ trabalho e apontam para o contexto das práticas profissionais de agentes comunitárias bem como para orientações do Diretor do Instituto sobre ‘como fazer o trabalho’, em uma reunião de trabalho do Instituto Vila Rosário, no tratamento da tuberculose. A pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa, no âmbito da análise da narrativa como práticas, de cunho interacional e sequencial, em interface com a abordagem de enquadres interacionais. Os dados para análise, gravados em áudio e transcritos mediante convenções da Análise da Conversa, são segmentos de uma reunião realizada no Instituto em 2009. A análise dos dados indica que a fala ‘sobre’ e ‘no’ trabalho é acionada pelas agentes comunitárias de saúde, através das narrativas, que representam uma forma indireta de se posicionarem a respeito do próprio trabalho, no curso da reunião. As narrativas ilustram, exemplificam e evidenciam a concepção de trabalho das agentes, em diferentes enquadres. Do ponto de vista do Diretor do Instituto, temos a percepção do espaço interacional e social da reunião como um lugar para dar orientações sobre o trabalho das agentes de saúde e estabelecer planos para o Instituto. No entanto, através das narrativas em ação, as agentes negociam a tensão na ordem interacional e institucional, trazendo um repertório de ações, atitudes, posicionamentos, procedimentos, mostrando seu entendimento de como se posicionar e agir na realização do seu trabalho cotidiano junto aos moradores de Vila Rosário, no tratamento da tuberculose.Palavras-chave: análise da narrativa, sociolinguística interacional, agentes de saúde, tuberculos
