Abstract
This essay aims to analyze the articulation between the philosophy of language and the metaphysical thought of Paul Ricoeur. Paul Ricoeur has already died, but he could be considered one of the main authors of contemporary French philosophy. He had the originality of bringing together German and French philosophy. We intend to justify the possible articulation between the philosophy of language and metaphysics in Ricoeur’s philosophy through an analysis of his reflections on metaphor and other texts in which he presents his arguments about metaphysics.Keywords: metaphor, metaphysics, meaning, language, phenomenology, hermeneutics.Este ensaio tem por objetivo analisar a articulação entre a filosofia da linguagem e o pensamento metafísico de Paul Ricoeur. Embora já falecido, Ricoeur pode ser considerado um dos principais autores da filosofia contemporânea. Ele possui a originalidade de promover uma síntese entre a filosofia alemã e a francesa. Pretendemos justificar a possível articulação entre filosofia da linguagem e metafísica na filosofia de Ricoeur mediante a análise de suas reflexões sobre a metáfora e outros textos em que o autor apresenta seus argumentos sobre a metafísica.Palavras-chave: metáfora, metafísica, sentido, linguagem, fenomenologia, hermenêutica
