Building Southern participation at the Internet Governance Forum : report for the period September 2011 - December 2011

Abstract

The report documents activities and outcomes related to the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) fora and events. African Internet stakeholders need to identify their priority Internet governance-related issues and interests depending on their particular national and regional contexts. The IDRC-supported Internet Governance Forum events provided several forums for East African stakeholders to share local Internet governance issues and to showcase the region. This contributed to increasing inclusiveness and participation. In addition, the side events and IGF in general increased Kenya’s place in global Internet governance and policy processes
