O trabalho foi conduzido em 1979 na Estação Experimental Agronômica da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Guaíba, RS, onde foi estudado, o efeito do atraso na colheita das sementes sobre a emergência no campo e o desempenho das plantas resultantes, em três cultivares de trigo (Triticum aestivum L.). A colheita realizada de 7 a 21 dias após o estádio de maturação fisiológica (EMF) propiciou maiores níveis de emergência no campo e maior peso de 100 l de sementes nas plantas resultantes. O número de afilhos por planta, estatura de plantas, componentes de rendimento e rendimento de grãos não foram alterados pelas diferentes épocas de colheita.This experiment was conducted in 1979 in Agronomic Experimental Station of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Guaíba, RS. Brazil. The objective was to study the effects of delay in harvest of three wheat cultivars seeds (Triticum aestivum L.) on field emergence and performance of the resulting plants. The harvest from seven to 21 days after the physiological maturation stage, propiclated greater levels of field emergence and 100 l in the resulting plants.
