• In August, 2017, Pres. Birx created a campus-wide group 
to better align all that PSU is doing as an institution to 
engage, retain, and graduate students..
• Composition: Provost and/or Associate Provost, two 
faculty members, Dean of Students, Academic Student 
Advocate, a Success Coach, Financial Aid, Advancement 
rep, Admissions, Student Onboarding, Res. Life, IR, 
Career Services, Special Projects, two students

Liaisons
Each cluster has 1-2 liaisons who will 
take ideas from their cluster to liaison 
meetings to share and bring back ideas 
they gained from the group to the 
cluster faculty.

• Coffee or Tea with professors built into

In general, engage them. Challenge them. Show 
them the joy and benefit of higher education. 
Engagement leads to retention – which leads to 
Graduation.
