The Next Evangelicalism as Necessary Reformation

Abstract

While Global Christianity flourishes in the twenty-first century, Evangelical Christianity in the United States is experiencing sharp decline. Negative perceptions surround U.S. Evangelicalism, particularly in recent years as it has become enmeshed with Western, white, suburban culture with particular social and political leanings. The necessary reformation for the next evangelicalism may be the diminishing of the current expression of evangelicalism and a movement towards a more diverse evangelicalism that may usher in a new ecclesiology for the 21st century
