Von Weber Mauricio Murcia Mauricio Murcia Eduardo Albuerme Eduardo Tomas Albuerme Montas began his musical studies in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, at the age of eight at the Dominican Musical Academy. In 1995 Mr. Albuerme started playing saxophone and joined the Contemporary Philharmonic Orchestra where he played flrst alto saxophone. In 2001 Mr. Albuerme was accepted into the National Conservatory of Dominican Republic (NCDR) and began his studies in bassoon with Professor Arismendys Vialet. While attending the NCDR he started as principal bassoon in the Juan Pablo Duarte Symphony Orchestra, which he is still member. In 2005, Mr. Albuerme was selected to be part of the Dominican National Symphony as second bassoonist and the National Performing Competition in Santo Domingo, obtaining second place in the woodwind category. Currendy, Mr. Albuerme is a junior at Lynn University Conservatory studying with Professor Michael Ellert. UPCOMING EVENTS Saturday, May 2 CLASS OF 2009 IN CONCERT A salute to the graduating class as they captivate us one last time with a flnal serenade to the patrons who have supported them in their pursuit of musical mastery. Time: 7:30p.m. Location: Amamick-Goldstein Concert Hall ' Tickets: $10 Sunday, May 3 ROBERTA RUST IN RECITAL Pianist Roberta Rust will be joined by Maryna Yermolenko, violin, Christine Echezabal, cello, The Sisters Stojanovska and The Pink Pair (Molin Wang/Chien-! Yang) duo-pianists, and Dr. Barbara Barry, musicologist, in a concert commemorating the bicentennial of the death of Franz Joseph Haydn in May 1809. The program includes works for solo piano: the Sonata in B minor, No. 47, the Variations in F minor, and the Fantasia in C major. Chamber works include the Piano Trio in G "Gypsy Rondo," the Mozart Sonata in D for Two Pianos, and the Brahms Variations on a Theme of Haydn for Two Pianos.
