Xaverius 2 Elementary School, Palembang as a partner of our community service, has the problems related to Classroom Action Research (CAR). Our interviews with school principals indicated that the teachers had not yet applied CAR. To cope with this problem, our team facilitated a training about CAR. We started by determining partners. After that the team and partners justified the problems and solutions, and then prepare a work plan. This activity was be planned in two phases, the first phase is to relearn the concept of classroom action research. The second phase is making a proposal. The results of first phase showed an increase in knowledge and understanding of participants from 55% (pretest results) to 76.7% (posttest results). In the second stage, 22% of participants compiled a research proposal. The results show that all proposals cannot be categorized as classroom action research proposals. We also found that 50% of the proposals indicated plagiarism. Evaluation of the activities shows that partners consider this activity important. They consider that the concept of classroom action research presented is complete and easy to understand
