Abstract

Hospitality is one of the most important christian virtues. „Be hospitable to one another without complaining” (1P 4,9) – the firm biblical warrant is a starting point for understanding an issue of migration within catholic sociology. Papal messages published every year for The World Day Of Migrants And Refugees are a realization of this doctrine and pay attention to important issues in a particular historical moments. Article’s analysis of the papal messages of John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Francis is a trial of identifaction of main threads and historical contexts of these documents. Indications suggested in the messages are discussed – both on ethical and (in a broad sense) political field
