Oral Manifestations Associated with Patient’s Medical History: Case Reports

Abstract

Intraoral symptoms presented by patients with systemic disease may not be originated simply from their teeth and periodontal tissue. Because the specific systemic disease could be expressed in oral cavity, thorough inspection, differential diagnosis and appropriate dental treatment must be required. Authors report two cases of dental patients with systemic disease in department of advanced general dentistry. For accurate diagnosis, proper treatment and appropriate medical consultation, it is impossible for general dentist to emphasize importance of medical history taking too much.ope
