A Renal Cell Carcinoma Incidentally Found after Nephrectomy in a Patient with Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Diseasa

Abstract

The risk of developing renal malignancy is increasing in line with increased survival duration of patients with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) on dialysis. However, through previous literature the incidence of renal malignancy in patients with ADPKD is debatable. We experimented a case of renal cell carcinoma in a patient with ADPKD on dialysis whose preoperative radiologic evaluations were not consistent with renal malignancy. We reviewed the association between ADPKD and development of renal malignancies and discussed its management.ope
