Efecto inhibitorio, in vitro del extracto etanólico de PlantagoMajor “Llantén” frente a cepas de staphylococcus aureus ystreptococcus β-hemolíticos

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the in vitro inhibitory effect of the ethanol extract of Plantago major "llanten" on strainsof Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus β-hemolytic. The diffusion method was used for the ethanolic extract, for theformation of inhibition halos and the macrodilution method in Caldo to determine the MIC. It was found that P. major is sensitive for Staphylococcus aureus with an average inhibition halo of 14.64 mm and an average of 150 mg / ml with respectto the MIC. While Streptococcus-β-hemolytic did not show sensitivity. Plantago major showed an inhibitory effect onStaphylococcus aureus.El objetivo del estudio fue determinar el efecto inhibitorio in vitro del extracto etanólico de Plantago major “llantén” sobrecepas de Staphylococcus aureus y Streptococcus β-hemolíticos. Se utilizó el método de difusión para el extracto etanólico,para la formación de halos de inhibición y el método de macrodilución en Caldo para determinar la CMI. Se encontró queP. major es sensible para Staphylococcus aureus con un promedio del halo de inhibición 14,64 mm y un promedio de 150mg/ml respecto a la CMI.
