The work describes mechanical and mathematical models allowing determination of the stress-strain state and contact interaction of the elastic elements of the boring bar front-end structure of heavy-duty horizontal boring lathe during its loading with boring and bolts tightening forces in spatial static statement. 24 mechanical and mathematical models describing stress-strain state depending on the boring radius of the boring bar front-end structure were developed in ANSYS Workbench. Optimization based on minimizing von-Mises stress in the system while increasing the boring radius was made. Recommendations for the additional studies were given
