Dans un contexte d’intensification des migrations internes les villes chinoises, comme Shanghai, sont traversées aujourd’hui à la fois par des phénomènes de précarisation économique et de ségrégation urbaine qui touchent tout particulièrement les provinciaux récemment installés, confrontés à leur arrivée en ville à des situations de disqualification sociale. Les modes d’accès aux marchés du travail urbain apparaissent très différenciés et très hiérarchisés en ce qui concerne ces provinciaux. Le migrant apparaît ici comme une figure‑analyseur des processus d’éviction de certaines populations et de la lutte pour la reconnaissance au sein de la société chinoise dans un contexte de globalisation économique.In the context of an intensification of internal migration, Chinese cities such as Shanghai are currently undergoing processes of both economic insecurity and urban segregation. These affect recently settled people from the provinces in particular, as they are confronted on arrival in the city with situations of social exclusion. Modes of gaining access to urban labour markets appear very differentiated and hierarchical as far as these provincials are concerned. The migrant appears here as a figure through which processes involving the eviction of certain populations and the struggle for recognition in Chinese society in the context of economic globalisation can be analysed
