Mestrado em EconomiaO futebol que no inicio do século XX era praticado a título amador
desenvolveu-se de tal forma que hoje representa uma industria que
movimenta milhões de euros à escala mundial e onde os jogadores
são o elemento chave, o elemento de maior valor.
Devido a essa importância dos jogadores de futebol, o objectivo desta
dissertação passa por avaliar os jogadores de futebol (suas
habilidades) que são reconhecidos como activos intangíveis.
O valor do jogador é estimado, através do método de preços
hedônicos, recorrendo as características ex ante do jogador, do clube
comprador, do clube vendedor, dos países envolvidos e do “timing” da
transferência.Football in the early 20th century was very amateur but since then has
developed so much that today represents a worldwide industry that
moves millions of Euros and which players are the key elements, since
they are the element of highest value. Due to the importance football
now has, the goal of this project is to evaluate football players (more
specifically their talent) which are intangible assets.
The player's value is estimated, by the method of hedonic prices, using
the ex ante characteristics of the player, the buyer club, the seller club,
the countries involved and the timing of the transfer
